Battle Strategy Tips

  • Steel resists 10 types including Dragon and Fairy. Every competitive team needs a Steel-type to check Fairy and Dragon sweepers. Without Steel, teams get shredded by setup sweepers.
  • The Poison immunity means Steel-types cannot be Toxic poisoned. Use them to absorb Toxic from Blissey and Toxapex, shutting down stall strategies.
  • Steel's three weaknesses (Fire, Fighting, Ground) are all physical. Pair Steel with Water for Fire, Ghost for Fighting, and Flying for Ground coverage.
