Normal is one of the 18 Pokemon types introduced in Generation 1. Normal-type Pokemon are known for their versatility and access to the widest movepool of any type. Normal is the only type that is not super effective against any other type, but it compensates with excellent neutral coverage and the ability to learn diverse moves from TMs and tutors. Pure Normal-types have a single weakness to Fighting and a complete immunity to Ghost, making them reliable defensive pivots.

The dominant special wall with immense HP and access to reliable recovery. Its base 160 HP stat is the highest of any non-Legendary Pokemon. Snorlax runs RestTalk sets or Curse sweeper sets with Body Slam and Earthquake.
The ultimate special wall with the highest HP in the game at base 255. Blissey walls every special attacker in the tier with Soft-Boiled recovery, Natural Cure status healing, and Seismic Toss for consistent damage.
The God of Pokemon with base 120 in every stat and Multitype allowing it to change type via plates. As a Normal-type, its Judgment move changes type to match its held plate, giving incredible flexibility.
A glass cannon with base 135 Special Attack and Adaptability. Tri Attack with Adaptability reaches 180 base power. It runs Hyper Beam sets with Nasty Plot or Choice Specs for devastating damage.
Blissey's pre-evolution used in lower tiers. Eviolite Chansey actually has higher physical Defense than Blissey and is preferred in OU for its Eviolite boost combined with Soft-Boiled and Stealth Rock.
The transformer Pokemon that copies its opponent's stats, nature, and moves with Imposter. Ditto is the best revenge killer in the game, checking setup sweepers by becoming them with Choice Scarf.
A terrifying wallbreaker with Scrappy allowing it to hit Ghost-types with Fighting moves. Base 135 Attack and 135 Speed make it one of the fastest and hardest-hitting physical attackers.
