Grass is one of the 18 Pokemon types introduced in Generation 1. Grass-type Pokemon are associated with nature, plants, and growth. Grass moves are super effective against Water, Ground, and Rock types. Defensively, Grass has 5 weaknesses but also 4 useful resistances including Water and Electric. Grass-types are immune to powder and spore moves (Spore, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder), making them excellent switch-ins to status spreaders like Amoonguss and Breloom.
