Flying is one of the 18 Pokemon types introduced in Generation 1. Flying-type Pokemon are associated with birds, the sky, and wind. Flying moves are super effective against Grass, Fighting, and Bug types. Defensively, Flying has a complete Ground immunity, making it immune to the most common attacking type in the game. Flying-types are also immune to Spikes and Sticky Web. Many Flying-types learn Defog, the most reliable entry hazard removal move.
