Ghost is one of the 18 Pokemon types introduced in Generation 1. Ghost-type Pokemon are associated with spirits, the afterlife, and darkness. Ghost moves are super effective against Psychic and Ghost types. Defensively, Ghost is exceptional with two complete immunities (Normal and Fighting), making it the best spinblocker in the game. Ghost-types block Rapid Spin, protecting entry hazards from removal. They are also immune to trapping moves and Explosion.

Key Stat: Ghost-type moves hit Psychic and Ghost super effectively. Ghost types have two complete immunities: Normal and Fighting. Shadow Ball is the most common Ghost special move.
Ghost-types are prized for their two immunities to Normal and Fighting, making them excellent switch-ins to common attacking types. They block the opponent's Rapid Spin attempts, preserving hazards. Poltergeist is a powerful 110 base power physical Ghost move that fails if the target has no item. Hex doubles in power when the target has a status condition, pairing well with Toxic or Will-O-Wisp. The Bulbapedia Ghost-type page provides the complete Pokemon and moves list. The evolution of immunities across Pokemon types is explained on Wikipedia's Pokemon types article.
