Dragon is one of the 18 Pokemon types introduced in Generation 1. Dragon-type Pokemon are associated with dragons, mythical beasts, and immense power. Dragon moves are only super effective against themselves, but resist 4 important types (Fire, Water, Electric, Grass). Dragons are known for having the highest base stat totals -- most pseudo-legendary Pokemon (Dragonite, Garchomp, Salamence, etc.) are Dragon-types. Fairy-types gained a Dragon immunity in Generation 6.
